Our project is devoted to global processes, which were brought to life by one of the most significant events of the end of the last century : the crush and desintegration of the USSR, one sixth part of the earth territory, into several independent states. The depth of the resulting changes in the world politics should be thoroughly examined. The world is now balancing in the position of unsteady equilibrium, which is conveniently called the “unipolar world”. But nature abhors a vacuum, and the “lonely pole” needs its counterpart. The wars by NATO and USA of the last decade, humanitarian crises in third world countries, the rapid increase of China s power, increasingly important “Muslim question”, terrorism of all brands (from domestic violence to international to state-sponsored) – all these are consequences of looking for a new equilibrium point. Any event of our days can change our future.

This is a Russian project, and we expect that every participant or guest of the project will behave with a respect to our Motherland, to the family of peoples inhabiting it, to its multinational culture and its main religions. It is a basis of the collaboration with our colleagues both in Russia and other countries of the world. The differences in our approaches, viewpoints, interpretations of different events are, in our opinion, a guarantee of the development of the project, but only after we accept this basis.

The main task of the project is the independent collective analysis of world events, which aims at forming by each participant his/her own civil attitude. The task is also finding a consensus on the sovereign future for our country in a new world.

The basic principles of our editorial policy :

The priority of independently found, verifiable information, which due to certain circumstances does not appear (or circulate) in mainstream media.

Detection of the information campaigns and veiled propaganda, aimed at the split in (Russian) society and degrading of the (Russian) state. (One may argue that propaganda campaigns should be a point of concern for a citizen of any state.)

Competent opinion of the specialists, supported by the facts, rather than emotional but baseless presentation.

Standing against the hostility between the peoples and religions of our country, searching for unification and mutual understanding, but not closing the eyes at actually existing problems and contradictions.

Ignoring the news trash from MSM : “celebrity lives”, “reality shows”, and other phenomena of mass media ; criminal chronicles ; scandals with state officers, prostitution, and sexual minorities. Avoiding tabloid presentation in principle.

It is forbidden to use the web-site for ideological, political or commercial interests of third parties, namely, promoting the agenda of political parties, ideologies, religions and sects, commercial and electoral campaigning.
